WHO IS AMIRAH HOLMES?
Amirah Holmes is a 13-year old model, dancer, actor, visual artist/fashion designer from Brooklyn, NY. At age 3, Amirah began her
career in performing arts, joining local dance companies, training as a member of NSP Youth, Inc. (Non-Stop Production) and the J. Love Fashion School of Etiquette.
Throughout her young life, she has walked in over 100 fashion shows from NY to Pennsylvania, Atlanta, North Carolina and Alabama, not to mention, acting in multiple short films, stage productions, and working as a background actor in several TV shows. Using her middle name, QUMARA as her stage name, in 2021, she launched her fashion line, Qumara Boutique, debuting at the fall NSP New York Fashion Week. Her line is a creation taken directly from drawings, combining a splash of culture, art, and creating a relaxing style for girls of all ages. Amirah said that her fashion line was inspired by her love for art through her grandfather, who is a visual artist and photographer. She wants her line to focus on creativity and empowerment. Past events have seen Qumara Boutique in multiple cities including Atlantic City Fashion Week, the FTM Fashion Week in Jacksonville, North Carolina with host Vivica A. Fox, the 2022 and 2023 Rockland County Fashion Week, International African Arts Festival, and in 2023, she was honored by the current New York City Mayor, Eric Adams at Gracie Mansion for her entrepreneurship and community work.
2024 - Continuing her fashion line, Qumara Boutique has graced the runway through hundreds of kid models, both boys and girls, now expanding to doing samples for adults. In September, 2024, Amirah was awarded "Youth Fashion Designer of the Year" as part of the National SITA (Success In The Arts) Awards.
She continues to expand her fashion line through networking, mentoring and looks forward to presenting more of her new designs in throughout the country.
